DESPERATE & NOTORIOUS INTERSTATE BURGLARS ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH.

INVOLVED IN 8 CASES OF HOUSE THEFTS & BURGLARIES.

ONE LAPTOP COMPUTER, ONE HANDYCAM CAMERA, TWO CAMERAS, ONE MOBILE PHONE, JEWELLERY & CLOTHES (WORTH RUPEES 4 LAKHS) RECOVERED.

THE TEAM

Under the overall supervision of Shri Sanjay Tyagi, ACP Anti Robbery Cell and Inspr.Jai Bhagwan, the team behind this good work comprised of police personnels. S.I. Sanjay Neolia, A.S.I. Sumer Singh, HCs Rajbir 87/crime, Mahabir 7099/DAP, Nand Kishore 194/crime, Cts Ashok 231/crime, Devidayal 358/crime, and Nitin 490/crime.

THE OPERATION

On 07.10.2007, the Anti Robbery Cell of Crime Branch received a secret information that Mohd. Johny and Mohd. Mamun will be passing through Khusro Park, Nizamuddin, New Delhi. It was informed that these two are notorious burglars and have committed many sensational house thefts in Delhi and other states and they would be carrying stolen goods with them. A team under the close supervision of Sh. Sanjay Tyagi ACP/ Anti Robbery Cell, Crime Branch led by Insp. Jaibhagwan was constituted and was deployed to develop this information and to take appropriate action.

The Crime Branch team took strategic position near, Khusro Park, Nizamudin, N.Delhi. At about 07.20 pm the accused persons came near Khusro Park, Nizamudin, N.Delhi. They were apprehended on the pointing out of informer and one laptop computer, one handycam camera, two cameras, one mobile phone, jewelleries & clothes were recovered from their possession. Above accused were arrested vide D.D. NO. 14A, Dated 7-10-2007, U/s-41.1(D)/102 Cr.P.C, P.S. – Hazrat Nijamuddin, N. Delhi.

DETAILS OF INVESTIGATION AND DISCLOSURE

During the investigation both the accused persons were put under sustained interrogation. On interrogation Mohd. Johny and Mohd. Mamun disclosed about committing thefts in following cases:-

On further interrogation from both the accused persons, it was revealed that they previously worked as a Kabadies. Later, on coming in contact with Mohd. Suhag @ Datt Bhanga, they started doing house thefts in Delhi and its adjoining states. They further disclosed about committing theft of Lap-Top Computer and Amplifier from one house in Jalandhar, Punjab and the same have been recovered from them. They also disclosed about committing theft of cameras, jewellery and cloths from Haridwar, Uttaranchal and the same have been recovered from them. One Mobile phone stolen from Narela, on which a case vide F.I.R No 419/07 is registered, has been recovered from them.

Concerned police have accordingly been informed to take necessary legal action against the accused in their respective cases.

SIZEABLE QUANTITY OF ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED BY CRIME BRANCH.

THE OPERATION

There was an information that huge quantity of illicit liquor is being brought in Delhi from neighboring states and due to this a heavy loss is being caused to Delhi Excise.

On 07.10.2007, an information was received that illicit liquor would be brought by one Surender in car no. DL-4CB-6795 and will pass through Sec.-18, Rohini. On this information a team under the close supervision of Sanjay Tyagi ACP/ Anti Robbery Cell, Crime Branch led by Insp. Jai Bhagwan consisting of HC Ramesh, Ct. Pardeep 233/crime, Ct. Hanish 330/crime, Ct. Bupesh 503/DRP Ct Sushil 387/crime and Ct. Rajesh 362/DRP was constituted to develop this information.

The team swung into action and took strategic position in front of Platinum Enclave at 11.00 AM. At 12.15 PM a car came from Bawana side, which was apprehended on the pointing out of informer and 22 cartons of illicit liquors was recovered which were marked for sale in Haryana only. The recovered liquors are of various brands i.e. Haryana No.1 Desi sharab, Sofi Masaledar Desi sharab, Murthal No.1 Desi sharab, Bonni Special Whisky. A case FIR No. 730/2007, dated 07.10.2007, u/s 61/1/14 Excise Act has been registered at P.S. Samai Pur Badli, Delhi.

On detailed interrogation accused Surender disclosed that he brought this consignment from Sonepat to supply the same in Delhi’s outer & N/W Distt. areas.

Investigation of case is in progress.

NOTORIOUS ROBBER ARRESTED WITH HIS ASSOCIATES

The staff of Police Station Seema Puri has arrested (1) Deepak @ Deepu aged 26 years s/o Bharat Singh r/o D-463, Amar Colony, East Gokal Puri, Delhi; (2) Harish Bhatia @ Monti aged 24 years s/o Bhim Sain r/o House of Sohan Veer, Vill. Pasonda, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad (Permanent Address - H.No. 115, Gher Khatti, Nai Mandi, Muzaffar Nagar, UP) and (3) Mohd. Israr Khan aged 37 years s/o Kailash Khan r/o H.No. 353, Gali No.6, Budh Vihar, Saboli, Delhi and recovered three gold chains, five mobile phones, five wrist watches, cash Rs.2200/-, one purse containing a I. Card, one country made pistol with two live cartridges, two knives and one TSR used for committing robberies.

TEAM AND THE INCIDENT

A team consisting of Inspr. Ishwar Singh, SHO/Seema Puri, SI Rakesh Kumar, ASI Shahid Khan, HC Jagdish Singh, Ct. Sukhbir, Ct. Harender and Ct. Vinod was constituted under the close supervision of Mohd. Irshad Haider, ACP/Seema Puri/NE District.

On 08.10.2007, at about 1:40 PM, Ct. Sukhbir of P.S. Seema Puri received a secret information that some notorious criminal would come in a TSR from Kodhi Colony side towards Seema Puri who might be in the possession of illegal fire arms. A team consisting of above mentioned police officers was immediately constituted under the supervision of Mohd. Irshad Haider, ACP/Seema Puri and dispatched to 70’ road, Seema Puri. The team started checking all the vehicles coming from Kodhi Colony side. At about 3:30 PM, a TSR No. DL-1R E-5624 was seen coming from Kodhi Colony side but on seeing checking by police, the TSR driver stopped the TSR about 10 yards ahead. Two persons got down from the TSR and started running but they were overpowered by the police party after a short chase. On their search, one country made pistol with two live cartridges and one knife was recovered. On the search of TSR driver, one more knife was recovered. Subsequently, a case of Arms Act was registered at P.S. Seema Puri and investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION

During interrogation, the identity of the accused person was revealed as (1) Deepak @ Deepu r/o D-463, Amar Colony, East Gokal Puri, Delhi; (2) Harish Bhatia @ Monti r/o House of Sohan Veer, Vill. Pasonda, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad and (3) Mohd. Israr Khan r/o H.No. 353, Gali No.6, Budh Vihar, Saboli, Delhi. Accused Deepak @ Deepu disclosed that he along with his associates Harish Bhatia @ Monti, Mohd. Israr Khan and Mohd. Shahnawaz used to commit robberies by using the TSR of Mohd. Israr and commit snatching by using motorcycle of Mohd. Shahnawaz. In the night, they used to move in the TSR and when they found any person alone, they hit on his head by butt of desi katta and would rob his belongings. On the instance of Deepak @ Deepu, three gold chains, five mobile phones, five wrist watches, cash Rs.2200/-, one purse containing a I. Card were recovered.

Accused Deepak @ Deepu was previously involved in three robbery cases & one Arms Act case of P.S. Shahdara, one robbery case of PS Timar Pur, one robbery case of P.S. Preet Vihar and two robbery cases of PS Maurice Nagar. With the arrest of these accused persons, nine criminal cases including two robbery cases and two snatching cases of PS Seema Puri, two snatching cases of PS Shahdara, one robbery case of PS Uttam Nagar, one robbery case of Khajuri Khas, one snatching case of PS Shakar Pur have been worked out.

Accused Mohd. Shahnawaz is still absconding and efforts are being to trace his hideouts.

PROFILE

(1) Deepak @ Deepu s/o Bharat Singh r/o D-463, Amar Colony, East Gokal Puri, Delhi is 26 years old. He is illiterate. He was recently married and having four brothers and one sister in the family. Earlier, he was a TSR driver but to earn quick money, he started committing robberies and snatchings. He was previously involved in eight criminal cases including seven robbery cases and one Arms Act case.

(2) Harish Bhatia @ Monti s/o Bhim Sain r/o House of Sohan Veer, Vill. Pasonda, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad (Permanent Address - H.No. 115, Gher Khatti, Nai Mandi, Muzaffar Nagar, UP) is 24 years old. He has studied upto 10th standard. He lived alone in Vill. Pasonda, Ghaziabad, UP on rent. He also worked as a TSR driver and came in contact with Deepak @ Deepu and started committing crime.

(3) Mohd. Israr Khan s/o Kailash Khan r/o H.No. 353, Gali No.6, Budh Vihar, Saboli, Delhi is 37 years old. He has studied upto 8th standard. He is married and having five children in the family. He is a TSR driver and provides conveyance to Deepak @ Deepu and Harish @ Monti who used to give Rs.500/- to him on daily basis.
