Mobility Manager
The Mobility Services Manager will lead and manage the development, delivery and promotion of innovative mobility and transportation services for older adults and people living with disabilities. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to champion and expand the range of viable options for special needs transportation, enabling clients to make choices and receive the most appropriate service. Responsibilities include supervision of Travel Navigator department which serves new and existing customers with their travel needs and patterns to help them understand the available services and develop individualized mobility plans. Current programs and services including Catch-a-Ride, the STAR program (Safe Transport & Reimbursement), CarePool (volunteer driver program), Paratransit certification and more.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3+ years’ related experience in transportation and / or mobility management
- Experience managing development and delivery of programs, services and / or events.
- Experience supervising and training employees and volunteers
- Experience conducting outreach and networking in pursuit of goals
- Ability to: think creatively; work independently and as part of a team; work cooperatively and professionally with volunteers, participants and various public and private agencies
- Ability to competently use computers and associated software, including but not limited, to Microsoft Office and database programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, excellent organizational skills and proficiency at multi-tasking
- Work cooperatively and professionally with volunteers, participants and various public and private agencies; ability to motivate and inspire volunteers
- Knowledgeable in safety practices and procedures
- Valid driver’s license, clean DMV record
Education and experience:
- Previous experience in transportation services; transit, mobility or planning
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
