Description: Wondering what advantages Excel 2010 has for you? In the latest version of Excel, new tools have been introduced to make data analysis much more user friendly. All the commands you are familiar with are still there, but the program is simply much more powerful.
This workshop teaches Microsoft Excel 2010 basics and introduces the participant to the new features of Excel. You will learn about:

Access 2010 – Level I
Description: In this quick introduction to the Access database program, participants will learn how to design a database, modify tables, maintain/find data and define relationships. You will also learn to build/modify forms and produce reports. Recommended prerequisites: Familiarity with Windows, Word and Excel.This half day introductory session will cover these basic topics:
- Creating database tables
- Creating forms based on tables
- Creating queries to filter data
- Creating database reports based on queries
- Editing forms, queries and reports
- Relating tables to share data
- Importing and exporting data
- Sharing the data with other Microsoft applications

Description: Every word you write becomes a reflection of you and your credibility. In today’s workplace, effective written communication is critical for success. You will apply your knowledge with a variety of in-class exercises that will help you master the steps to producing concise business letters. In addition to solving the most common grammatical mistakes, you will also learn how to revise, edit, and proofread your written communication.

Description: Increase your credibility in the workplace by writing clear and concise e-mail. Most people treat e-mail very casually, sometimes overlooking the principles of good writing. In this workshop you will learn how to plan and write e-mail using the appropriate format as well as how to manage your busy inbox. Other topics include mastering e-mail etiquette and how to improve your e-mail habits.

Description: Building upon skills in the Excel 2010Quick Introduction workshop, this workshop will focus more on the data analysis capabilities of Excel.
Do you work with mailing lists? Do you have to sort through and filter large amounts of data? Do you have to summarize large amounts of data? Do you compile survey information? Excel can assist you with all of these tasks and more. The workshop will touch upon the following topics:
- Filtering data
- Subtotalling
- A Brief Introduction to Pivot Tables
- Using functions such as IF and COUNTIF
- Conditional Formatting
- Rules
- Linking data between Excel documents, as well as Excel and other programs
- An Introduction to Mail Merge
- Various Time Saving Features
