DECEMBER FINAL EXAM

DESCRIPTION & STUDY GUIDE

The oral part (speaking and listening) of the exam will take place on Monday, December 12, and the written part will take place on Tuesday December 20.

1.SPEAKING: Monday, December 12, in the language lab(20 %)

You will introduce yourselfand talk about yourself for 1 or 2 minutes. You will record your presentation in the language lab. In your presentation, you will tell:

-your name and age

-about two things you like to do, and two you don’t like to do

- about your family: number of people, sibblings,

- who you get along and describe this person (physical traits and personality).

-about one class you like

- what day(s) and time you have the class you like, and why you like it.

-about one class you don’t like, and why.

Grading of answers will focus on the following:

-comprehension: ability to understand aural cues and respond appropriately.

-comprehensibility: ability to communicate ideas and be understood

-accuracy: ability to use structures and vocabulary correctly

-fluency and pronunciation: ability to communicate clearly and smoothly

-effort: inclusion of details beyond the minimum predictable response

2. LISTENING:Monday, December 12, in the language lab(10 %)

You will listen to an audio file and answer some questions.

3. WRITTEN PART Tuesday , December 20from 10:15 to 11:45 am. (70% )

You should expect some Multiple Choice Questions, True or False Questions, fill in the blank exercises, paragraph writing, reading and such.
