IXA.
- Description of Student Recruitment Policies and Procedures
- Much of this information will remain the same as in previous document. The MPH Marketing Plan, unless revised and included, may be replaced or augmented with a revisedMPH recruitment plan (I had thought that this was included in our 2007 self-study document, but I didn’t see it in the version I was looking at).
- To the extent that we continue to use catalogs and bulletins to describe our academic offerings, we will maintain that these are up to date on the correctinformation .
- Statement of admissions policies and procedures
- Applications for the MPH degree are now submitted through SOPHAS. This will/has have/had an effect on our admitted: enrolled rate. This will be explained when that information Is presented in tabular format.
- There is no longer a school-wide admissions committee. The MPH program director makes all decisions regarding MPH admissions. Other programs make decisions regarding their respective admissions.
- We no longer require that a monetary deposit be sent by the student when they accept admission.
6. (?)Identification of outcome measures by which the school may evaluation its success in enrolling a qualified student body, along with date regarding the performance of the school against those measures over the past three years.
- Enrolled students characteristics – We had said in original document that this data was not at that time available from the OIR. We need to assess if it available at this time.
- Pre-admission standardized test scores, admission rates, enrollment rates (see comment under #2 above), student GPA, graduation rates, and student scholarly work will all be gathered with the help of Tammi and compiled into tables by me. The latter, student scholarly work, is probably the most difficult to ascertain, but we can certainly assess number of GRAs and try to assess student submissions. How was this done for previous self-study?
- Student assessment – we don’t do exit interviews any longer, to my knowledge. Will check with Muriel Harris about student exit surveys.
IXB.
- Stated application, admission, and degree-granting requirements and regulations shall be applied equitably to individual applications and students regardless of age, sex, race, disability, religion or national origin.
- This section remains the same.
- Student recruitment
- Will describe what did and didn’t happen/work since last self-study.
- Will describe what measures did work/happen and those which we plan to continue/incorporate.
- Identification of measures by which the school may evaluate its success in achieving a demographically diverse student body, along with data regarding the school’s performance against the s measures over the last 5 years.
- We will again use OIR data to report here, and compare it to our SPHIS scorecard for 2006-2010, in order to determine if the criterion is met.
