DESCRIPTION OF BOARD SEATS
The Chairman of the Board is responsible for directing the affairs of the association, including serving as ex-officio to all KAHCF committees, appointing specified board seats and representing the association on the national level.
KAHCF’s First Vice Chair assists the chairman of the board as needed and also chairs the membership committee.
Our Second Vice Chair is third in command and, as part of the assigned duties, is chairman of the Education/Convention Committee.
The Secretary handles the secretarial duties of the association and chairs the Long Range Planning Committee.
The Association’s Treasurer oversees all financial operations of KAHCF and chairs the Finance Committee.
KAHCF’s Nonproprietary Chair represents the needs of our nonproprietary members and chairs the Nonproprietary Committee.
KAHCF’s Facility Standards Committee Chair spearheads the numerous regulatory activities of the industry by chairing this committee.
The Personal Care Committee Chair is responsible for the work of our committee, which addresses regulatory and related matters affecting personal care providers.
There is one District Director elected for each district (Eastern, Northern Bluegrass, Central, Midwestern and Western). In order to run for a director seat, nominees shall be the Administrator or the designated representative of the member facility in their respective districts. The district directors serve on the membership and legislative committees and coordinate several district meetings during the year.
KAHCF’s Independent Owner Representative- in order to run for this seat, nominees must be an owner of three (3) or fewer facilities operating exclusively in Kentucky.
