Notes from Betty O'Blisk Bisom! Date of Death of Ella 1927.
Obit for Melissa O'Blisk, aged 61 yrs, died at her home on East Main St. extension, last Wednesday night. She had been ill for several months with heart trouble, but had been going around as usual, and her sudden death was a shock to all her relatives and friends.
Mrs. O'Blisk was born and reared near Guernsey, and had resided in Newcomerstown for many years. She was a member of the United Brethren Church.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. R. L. Long, of Massillon, and Mrs. Pearl Fowler, of Marlatt's Run, and four sisters, Mrs. Armanda Herbert, Mrs. Jane Marlatt, Mrs. Minerva McCollum, all of Cambridge, and Mrs. Minta Forney of Guernsey.
There are eight grandchildren, Lloyd Gephart, who has been making his home with Mrs. O'Blisk, is a grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the United Brethren Church, conducted by former Pastor, J. S. Jones, and burial, was made in the local cemetery.

About Ella Melissa Lanning. She was the second wife of my great-grandfather Clem O'Blisk. I have been searching for information on her for a long time. I didn't know that her first name was Ella.
I have a copy of her death certificate and obit. It listed a Lloyd Gephart was living with her at the time of her death. It stated that he was her grandson.

Obituary for Audrey O'Blisk:
Mrs. Wm. Curtis, 23, died of tuberculosis at her home in Massillon. She had been in poor health for a year, but was only bedfast one week before her death.
Audra O'Blisk Curtis, was the daughter of Clemens and Melissa O'Blisk and was born at the farm home south of Newcomerstown, July 1, 1897. She came to this city with her parents in early life and spent most of her life there.
About six years ago, she went to Massillon, where on May 13, 1917, she was given in marriage to William Curtis. To this union was born, one child, little Willy, aged 18 months, who with his husband and father are left to mourn their sad ?? ( look, story). (hard to make out word?)
Mrs. Curtis is also survived by her parents, one sister, Mrs. R. L. Long, of Massillon, one half sister, Mrs. Pearl Lawrence, of this city, and four half-brothers , George, Lee, Warthers?, and Nelson? O'Blisk.
Mrs. Curtis had been a member of the U. B. Church, since 13 years of age.
She has a crowd of friends in this community who will mourn her early demise.
The remains, accompanied by the husband and the little-one, and relatives, was brought to Newcomerstown for burial.
