  1. If this course is being submitted for graduate credit, respond to the following questions:
  1. If this course is being submitted for both undergraduate and graduate credit, how will graduate course credit differ from undergraduate course credit?
  1. Activities to be required for graduate students compatible with the above criteria.
  1. Indicate why this course is being proposed for graduate credit in terms of student need/demand and/or its relation to an existing graduate program.

4.Projected scheduling of the proposed course to meet graduate student needs.

  1. Dean’s Comments:
  1. Syllabus: Please attach a course syllabus as outlined in the current Faculty Handbook. Especially important are student learning objectives, course activities, and method of evaluating students. If you are proposing a course listed for both undergraduate and graduate credit, you must submit two distinct syllabi. The general expectation is that a student receiving graduate credit should be required to perform at a higher level than an undergraduate student. As such the graduate syllabus should reflect specific learning outcomes appropriate for graduate-level students. Graduate grading options also are different in that graduate students cannot be awarded a "D" letter grade for below average performance. Submit both the undergraduate and the graduate syllabi to the Graduate Council.
