Introduction

This test plan will provide methods to test the performance of the deliverables.

Deliverable

This test plan is part of the deliverable for items listed below from the Detailed Work Breakdown Structure:

  • 1.3.2.6.1.2.3 – Create test plan for report parameter selections and report display.

After the successful completion of the testing, the items listed below from the Detailed Work Breakdown Structure will also be complete:

  • 1.3.2.6.1.2.4 – Test Web-interface for report parameter selections and report display.

Description of Document

This document defines the methods that should be used to ensure the successful completion of all tests defined within.

Intended Audience of Document

The following personnel are the intended audience for this document:

  • PSDC Q&A
  • TxPROS PMT personnel
  • TxDOT TxPROS testing personnel
  • TxDOT TSD personnel

Description of How to Test Report Parameter Selections and Report Display

This test plan will have tests to verify complete compliance with all documented program requirements in the Design Documents. The test plan should also have tests to insure the program that runs the system does not crash, runs with sufficient speed, does not take up excessive resources, and works throughout the envelope of expected operation.

Checklist of Items to Test

What follows is a listing of various tests that should be completed while using the Report Parameter Selections and Report Display to determine whether it meets the various compliance and usability standards set forth in the Design Document.

There is a specific login that needs to be entered in order to gain access to the Report Parameter Selections and Report Display.

The interface is in a wizard styled format.

The wizard complies with all specifications set forth in the Design Documents.

The wizard allows you to choose between active or historical permits.

The wizard allows you to select a particular time-period for the report being generated.

The wizard allows you to select various permit types.

The wizard allows you to set the vehicle and load parameters.

There is a way to generate the report for either permits traveling over a particular road segment or for permits avoiding a certain Restriction.

There is a way to select road segments by any of the methods set forth in the Design Documents.

There is a way to select Restrictions.

There is a way to choose the format of the report being generated.

There is a way to select a particular date range for the report being generated.

There is a method to choose the particular vehicle parameters as set forth in the Design Documents.

The interface has all map navigation capabilities as described in the design documentation.

The map also has a road segment selection tool that will add the road segment to the report being generated.

The reports can be generated in any of the formats defined in the Design Documents.
