(EAL) Entry Authority List Procedures for Langley AFB

The EAL is design for LANGLEY AFB unescorted access for individuals not possessing an authorized military ID or civilian ID for special events.

Before planning your event, please contact:

  1. You will be provided an EAL Memorandum for your projected event. Memorandumsmust be completed and turned inno later than 5 to 10days prior to the event/function.
  2. If the event includes foreign visitors the memorandum must be turned in 7 to 10 business days prior to the event/function since background checks are conducted by an outside agency.
  1. All foreign visitors must be escorted at all times by an authorized sponsor i.e. Military CAC holder, Dependent, or Retiree.
  2. If we don’t get the names in time for the foreign visitors, they will not be able to attend the event/function

-Background checks must be completed on all non military personnel prior to allowing unescorted access onto the installation.

  • Having the EAL in ontime,it allows for background checks to be conducted prior to your EVENT

-If EAL’s are not turned in to the Langley Welcome Center Office within the prescribed time:

EAL’s will be posted at the Langley Welcome CenterONLYand personnel will have to COME INTO theLangley Welcome Centerbetween the hours of 0500 to 1900 hours (Monday –Friday) and 0730 to 1700 hours (Saturday, Sundays, and Federal Holidays or ACC down days). Background checkswill be conducted prior to entering LANGLEY AFB.

On the memorandum, you will need to complete the following blocks of information:

  1. NAMES OF VISITOR/GUEST
  2. Must be alphabetical: Last name, First name, Middle Initial
  3. Do not include: Military, Retired Military, AF Civilian or

children under the age of 15.

  1. Youth Event’s must include one of the following: Parent, Guardian or Driver
  2. Date of Birth in the format of MM/DD/YYYY)
  3. Circle if they are US CITIZENS
  4. If the visitor is a non US CITIZEN you must fill out the columns to the right and bring their passport for the controller to verify the information.
  5. Passport Number
  6. Country of Citizenship

3. The sponsor of the event must have one of the following forms of identification: Military Active Duty, Military Retired, Military Dependant, Military Reserve, Military Guard, AF Civilian Common Access Card, and DoDCommon Access Card.

4. The visitor/guest list can be submitted to the 633 Security Forces Squadron, Langley Welcome Center, temporary trailer outside West/Armistead Gate, Langley AFB, either by hand or government email to:

5. EAL requests will be authenticated, after all personnel have cleared thru background investigator.

6. After the EAL has been authenticated and posted at the gates, additional personnel, not on the list will have to be sponsored the day of the event with the sponsor present at the Langley Welcome Center or the sponsor can add the names to the AF Form 1109 Visitor Log at the Welcome Center

7. Ensure all guests are listed on the Entry List prior to turn-in.

8.Verify that your EAL has been received by a Langley Welcome Center Controller.
