TRAFFIC ADVISORY

The Muslim community will be observing the festival of Shab-e-Baraat on the night intervening 13/14th June 2014 from 2000 hours onwards wherein a large number of devotees from Delhi and outside are likely to participate in offering prayers in various Qabristans and Mosques in Delhi. These devotees are likely to travel throughout the night from one place to another, for which adequate traffic arrangements are required to be made.

Delhi Traffic Police will be making elaborate traffic arrangements from 2000 hours of 13.06.2014 to 0600 hours of 14.06.2014 to ensure safety of motorists on roads, ensure smooth flow of traffic, keep the pedestrians on the footpaths, guide the devotees/road users regarding routes and traffic diversions and to prevent rash & negligent driving or performance of stunts on two-wheelers. For the purpose traffic staff will be deployed at 182 strategic locations in South, North, North-East, Central and New Delhi areas.

Major roads will be barricaded and special checking teams armed with alcometers will be deployed at major intersections to detect & prosecute traffic violations and check the incidents of drunken driving, over speeding, reckless driving, zig-zag driving, dangerous driving, red light jumping, triple riding, minor driving, driving/riding without helmet, performing stunts on two-wheelers and other traffic offences. Special checking teams along with PCR and Local Police shall also be deployed to identify and prosecute two-wheeler riders who are observed indulging in stunt biking. Cases shall also be instituted against the registered owners of vehicles which are impounded for use in stunt biking and their liability shall be fixed for illegal use of their vehicles.

Motorists are advised to obey traffic rules, specifically to be following:

1)Do not drink & drive.

2)Observe prescribed speed limits.

3)Obey traffic signals.

4)Do not indulge in racing or competition with other vehicles.

5)Two wheeler drivers/riders are advised to wear helmets and avoid triple riding.

6)Do not indulge in reckless, dangerous and zig-zag driving.

7)Do not allow minors/unauthorized persons to drive your vehicle.

8)Do not indulge in performing stunts on two wheelers.

Traffic Police would be recording the traffic rule violations and the vehicle owners will be served notices at their houses.

All motorists are advised to avoid indulging in traffic violations, especially performing stunts on two-wheelers. Parents should not allow their minor wards to drive vehicles. All motorists are requested to obey the traffic rules and regulations and follow the directions of the Traffic Policemen on duty for their safety as well as the safety of other road users.

Gang of interstate burglars busted : 3 accused arrested.

Stolen articles worth Rs. 8 lacs (approx.) recovered.

15 cases of burglary and theft solved.

With the arrest of three burglars namely (1). Ramesh @ Kallu(35 years) s/o Baisakhi Ram r/o H. No. 178, Gali No 3, Durga Colony, Bhojpur, Delhi,(2). Akbar(28 years) s/o Sultan Saffi r/o H. No. 116, Arya Colony, Gore Gaon, East Mumbai and (3). Rajender Yadav (30 years)s/o Lok Nath Yadav r/o H. No. 368. Gali No 8, A Block, Pratap Nagar, Sibolli, Delhi, a team of Special Staff, South District has recovered 2 stolen Laptops, one I-Pad, gold,silver and diamond jewelry worth Rs 8 lacs (approx.) and 15 cases of burglary and theft of Delhi, Bunglore and Mumbai have been worked out.

Brief Facts :

In order to prevent the incidents of burglaries and thefts in the area of South District, a team of Special Staff, South District was directed to deploy sources to obtain clues about burglars active in the area and to arrest them. A team consisting of SI Jeet Singh, Gyaneder, ASI Ashok Kumar, HCs Vijay ,Premjit, Bir Singh, Rajbir, Cts. Vijay, Sunil Kumar, Naresh and Ct. Yogesh and Mahesh under the leadership of Inspr. Akhileshwar Yadav, I/C Special Staff, South District was formed.

On 11.06.14, on the basis of secret information, the team conducted a raid in the area of PS Saket and arrested three accused namely Ramesh @ Kallu, Akbar and Rajender Yadav and recovered stolen articles worth Rs 8lacs from their possession.

Interrogation :

During interrogation, accused persons disclosed to have committed several burglaries in different areas of South Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.They further disclosed that before targeting a house, they used to conduct reconnaissance in the day and target the houses which are locked. Initially, they ring the bell of the house and if there is no response from inside, they would break the lock and would steal valuables from the house. After committing series of theft / burglary in a particular area, they would depart for other city. So far, 15 cases of burglary and theft have been worked out at the instance of accused persons.

2.Akbar (28 years) s/o Sultan Saffi r/o H. No. 116, Arya Colony, Gore Gaon, East Mumbai is Illiterate. Due to poor family condition, he joined gang of burglars to earn quick money. He is previously involved in 5 criminal cases of Mumbai.

3.Rajender Yadav (30 years) s/o Lok Nath Yadav r/o H. No. 368, Gali No 8, A Block, Pratap Nagar, Sibolli, Delhi has studied up to 10th class. He hails fromBanaras. He is previously involved in 4 criminal cases.

MURDER OF AN OWNER OF PAYING GUEST HOUSE, STRAGULATED IN HIS SLEEP IS SOLVED WITH THE ARREST OF THREE ACCUSED PERSONS AND APPREHENSION OF ONE JUVENILE, STOLEN JEWELLARY ITEMS RECOVERED.

With the arrest of accused Pintu Yadav aged 27 Years R/O Chhapra, Bihar, Arun Yadav aged 26 years R/O Chhapra, Bihar, Ravi Yadav aged 21 years and caretaker and one servant of the same house, Robbery cum gruesome Murder of an owner of PG House in the area of West Patel Nagar, Delhi has been solved.

INCIDENT : On 12.06.14 at about 7 am an information was received regarding theft at H.NO. 5/28, West Patel Nagar, Delhi. On Subsequent enquiry Sh. Rohit Sethi owner of the said house was found strangulated in his bed. The house was found ransacked and articles were lying scattered. One servant was also found missing. A case vide FIR No. /14 U/s 302/394 IPC was registered at P.S. Patel Nagar in this regard and the investigation was taken up by SHO/ Patel Nagar under the close supervision of ACP/ Patel Nagar and overall supervision of Addl. DCP/Central Distt. Dr. Ashok Malik.

INVESTIGATION AND TEAM: Three separate teams of the sub-division Patel Nagar were formed and special staff of Central Distt. was also roped in to crack the case. The servant, a native of Bihar employed 4 days ago did not leave any information regarding his identity as he was not got verified by the owner. However, by perseverant efforts suspect mobile number was found. On the basis of technical analysis and collecting information from local sources the teams were able to nab all the four accused persons involved in the mentioned Murder cum Robbery case. Almost all the stolen articles have been recovered at the instance of the accused persons.

MODUS OPERANDI: Accused Ravi had been working as care taker of PG in the house of deceased for two years. He was having complete knowledge that the deceased was residing alone in the house with his old age mother. Finding them an easy target to make easy money, he hatched a plan to rob the owner of the house. He roped in his three known persons namely Pintu Yadav, Arun and one juvenile in the conspiracy. The juvenile got an employment in the house as cook cum house keeper with the help of Ravi. As part of his conspiracy, details or photograph of him were also not provided to the owner. On the intervening night of 11/12.06.14 Ravi and the employed servant brought sedative tablets from a chemist and gave the same to the owner in his food. When he fell fast asleep the servant opened the back door to facilitate the entry of his associates Arun Yadav, Ravi and Pintu Yadav into the house. All the four accused persons thereafter strangulated the owner Sh. Rohit Sethi and robbed the jewellery items from the almirah of the house. All fled away from the spot after committing the offence.
