Ammo-18 Basics of Naval Explosives Hazard Control / This course provides students with a basic understanding of the hazards of ammunition and explosives, and acquaints them with the explosives safety principles and practices outlined in NAVSEA OP 5 Vol 1. Successful completion of this course satisfies the certification requirements of Appendix D of NAVSEA OP 5 Vol. 1
NOTE: In order to receive credit for this course you will need to register for and pass the 'Ammo-18 Final Exam'. Completing this course is a prerequisite for taking the final exam.
Ammo-18 Final Examination / This is the final exam for Ammo-18 (Basics of Naval Explosives Safety). Completion of Ammo-18 is a prerequisite for taking this exam.
Ammo-29 Electrical Explosives Safety for Naval Facilities / This course provides the basic regulatory guidance and procedures to correctly inspect, test, document and manage electrical safety aspects as they apply to explosive operating and handling facilities and storage areas. Course content includes the identification of lightning protection systems and their components, design criteria and maintenance requirements. Included are the requirements for grounding, bonding, control of static electricity and electrical service and equipment requirements in hazardous (classified) locations. An overview of the hazards of electromagnetic radiation to ordnance is presented. This course meets the refresher training requirements for Electrical Explosives Safety for Naval Facilities as required by NAVSEA OP 5, Vol. 1, Appendix D.
Ammo-43 Intermodal Dry Cargo Container / CSC Reinspection Course / This course provides students with information required to reinspect intermodal dry cargo containers IAW the CSC standards. Course content includes survey of CSC test requirements; detailed analysis of reinspection criteria required by CSC, U.S. Public Law, and Joint Service Regulations; and orientation of container structural and non-structural components. Reporting requirements and reinspection decal placement are also discussed.
NOTE: In order to receive credit for this course you will need to register for and pass the 'Ammo-43 Final Exam'. Completing this course is a prerequisite for taking the final exam.
Ammo-43 Final Examination / This is the final exam for Ammo-43 (the Intermodal Dry Cargo Container/CSC Reinspection Course). Completion of Ammo-43 is a prerequisite for taking this exam.
Ammo-45 Introduction to Ammunition / This course provides basic training in the safety and fundamental technical aspects of ammunition and explosives for personnel directly involved in hands-on exposure to ammunition items and/or operations. Course content will introduce the characteristics of different classes of ammunition and explosives, and safe handling procedures and explosives safety requirements for the receipt, storage, maintenance, demilitarization, or issue of ammunition at U.S. Army installations. Successful completion of the CBT version satisfies the certification requirement of AMCR 350-4, TRADOC-R 350-30, and FORSCOM-R 350-10.
Ammo-49 Naval Explosives Safety Managers/Supervisors Orientation / This course provides a detailed overview of general ammunition and explosives safety training for Navy/Marine Corps shore activity explosives safety officers, managers and supervisors as provided by NAVSEA OP 5 Vol I. Successful completion of this course satisfies the certification requirements of Appendix D of NAVSEA OP 5 Vol. 1

Ammo-49 Final Examination / This is the final exam for Ammo-49 (Naval Explosives Safety Supervisors/Managers Orientation). Completion of Ammo-49 is a prerequisite for taking this exam.
AMMO-51 Naval Motor Vehicle and Railcar Inspection Course / This course provides the repuirements and procedures for inspecting motor vehicles and railcars that are to be used to carry ammunition and explosives. This includes providing the student with the minimum requirements of the Department of Transportation, Department of Defense and Department of the Navy regarding preparing ammunition for shipment, documentation to accompany the shipment, loading compatibility, serviceability requirements of motor vehicles and railcars and security considerations. It also includes procedures to be employed upon receiving an ordnance-loaded motor vehicle or railcar. The instruction is based around the need to accurately and completely utilize DA Form 626 and NAVSEA Form 8023/3.

Ammo-67 HAZMAT Familiarization and Safety in Transportation / This course is designed to meet the needs of personnel dealing with hazardous material, and who only require the familiarization and safety training described in 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 172.704. NOTE: This course ONLY meets the requirements of familiarization and safety training for a hazmat employee. (Certifying officials still require one of the Department of Defense (DoD) courses described in DoD 4500.9-R, Chapter 204, D.1.b).

Ammo-67 Final Examination / This is the final exam for Ammo-67 (HAZMAT Familiarization and Safety in Transportation). Completion of Ammo-67 is a prerequisite for taking this exam.
Ammo-63 U.S. Army Explosives Safety - Exam / This is the final examination for the U.S. Army Explosives Safety course Ammo-63-WBT. Students that wish to take this exam and receive credit for Ammo-63 must first complete the following four sub-courses: Ammo-77-CPE; Ammo-81-HC; Ammo-81-IQD; and Ammo-81-OPS. These subcourses constitute the instructional content of Ammo-63 and are prerequisites for taking the Ammo-63 exam.
Ammo-77-CPE Characteristics of Propellant and Explosives / Ammo-77-CPE (Characteristics of Propellant and Explosives) introduced the basic terminology associated with explosives, propellants, and ammunition items. It also covers the major categories and characteristiscs high and low explosives, and chemical ammunition fillers. This course is a prerequisite for taking the Ammo-63 exam.
Ammo-81-HC Hazard Classification / Ammo-81-HC provides an introduction to the system of hazard class and division used to categorize hazardous materials, focusing on ammunition and explosives. It also covers how this system is used to enhance safety through the concept of compatibility of storage. This course is a prerequisite for taking the Ammo-63 exam.
Ammo-81-IQD Introduction to Quantity Distance / Ammo-81-IQD covers the basic principles of quantity distance, the different categories of QD protection, the general terms associated with QD, and the regulatory oversight for QD. Students are also provided with simple scenarios to determine QD compliance. This course is a prerequisite for taking the Ammo-63 exam.
Ammo-64-1 Class V Issue and Turn-In Procedures for Using Units / This course was designed for personnel responsible for requesting and drawing Class V items for their unit. The subjects covered include ammunition authorizations, requests, issues, field accountability, sub-unit turn ins, preparing ammunition for turn in, reconciliation, and the amnesty
program. There is no exam associated with this course.
Ammo-64-2 Class V Issue, Turn-In and Residue Processing Procedures for ASPs / This course was designed for personnel responsible for the issue and receipt of Class V items from an Ammunition Supply Point (ASP). The subjects covered include ammunition issues, ammunition turn ins, residue processing, preparing materials for turn in to DRMO, and special requirements for residue. There is no exam associated with this course.
Ammo-81-OPS Operational Safety / Ammo-81-OPS covers the basic concepts of operational safety with regards to ammunition and explosives. It provides an overview of fire prevention measures, maintenance and demilitarization, facilities design requirements, ammunition storage principles, standing operating procedures and hazard analysis. This course is a prerequisite for taking the Ammo-63 exam.
