Pleasant Hill Legacy Scholarship

The Pleasant Hill Education Foundation will award one $1000 scholarship to an eligible Pleasant Hill High School senior planning on attending a 2 or 4-year College, or trade school. This scholarship is established to honor the legacy of excellence thru education, arts, community service and athletics that Pleasant Hill School District is known for and how it has shaped the applicants future choices.

This scholarship is awarded on competitive basis, based on the following criteria:

-Activity Chart listing high school extra-curricular activities and community service

-One page narrative answering: “What part of your Pleasant Hill education helped or inspired you in your future goals?” (ex. Teacher, program, course, coach, mentor, field trip, etc.)

-Official Transcript

-Financial need will be considered

The Pleasant Hill Education Foundation scholarship committee will review the applications and select the recipient. Notification of the award will be given to the Pleasant Hill H.S. Principal and Counselor. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Awards Night in June.

Katie Lovelace Scholarship

On the evening of June 9th, 2000, 12 year old Katie Lovelace was killed near her Pleasant Hill home by a hit and run motorist. Katie’s untimely death was a tragedy for the Lovelace family and their many friends. Her loss was deeply felt by members of the Pleasant Hill community and schools where Katie was preparing to enter the 7th grade.
Katie was an excellent student and excelled in sports. As a fitting tribute to her life, the Lovelace family established the Katie Lovelace Enrichment Fund. Since 2001, the Lovelace family, in collaboration with the Pleasant Hill Education Foundation, has provided funding for students to participate in music, athletics and art programs.
Additionally, each spring, one $1000 Katie Lovelace Memorial Scholarships is awarded to eligible Pleasant Hill High School seniors planning on attending a 2 or 4 year Oregon college. The Pleasant Hill Education Foundation administers this scholarship program. Award recipients are chosen based on academic performance, high school club and community involvement, awards, participation in music and athletics, and the student’s own narrative related to community service and career goals.

This scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis based on the following criteria:
