Deep Sea Fishing Club Minutes

November 4, 2017

President Davison, Mo, called the meeting to order at 9:02 am and led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance. John Kluck reported that there were 19 new members and 25 members that renewed their dues. Mo invited the new members to stay after the regular meeting where he would share information about the club and answer any questions they may have.

Mo turned the chair over to John Olyarnik, chairman of the Nominating Committee. John thanked Bud Mangels and Ida Donegan for serving on the committee. Chairman Olyarnik presented the following slate to the membership; Mo Davison for President, Everett Belter for Vice-President, John Kluck for Secretary, and Steve Newman for Treasurer. Chairman Olyarnik also reported that no other members had put their names into nomination.

Chairman Olyarnik made a motion that the slate be elected by acclimation and received a second from the floor. Mo assumed the chair and noted that a motion had properly been made and seconded and called for discussion. There was no discussion so Mo called for a vote and the Ayes were unanimous for election by acclimation. Those elected will serve a two (2) year term beginning with the meeting in January 2018.

Back to the regular order of business Mo reported that the Club had lost the Good Time Charters for trips. It was reported that the boat was being put up for sale however coordinator Chuck Tomneywould monitor the situation and see if a new owner would be willing to charter for the Club?
