This Indenture made the eight day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five in the Seventeenth year of the Independence of the United States of America, between Appling Worsham and Elizabeth Worsham formerly and before her intermarriage with the said Appling Worsham, Elizabeth Strickland of the County of Thomas, of the one part and James J. Vickers of the County of Thomas of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Appling Worsham and Elizabeth Worsham for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid at and before sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained ,sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and doth by these present grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said James J. Vickers his heirs and assigns all that piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the twenty third district of originally Early now Thomas County being the West End of Lot of land number six in said district being one hundred and sixty six and two thirds acres of said lot number six, the same being assigned and laid off as the dower and thirds of the said Elizabeth Worsham during her widowhood and while she was the widow and relict of John Strickland, deceased, being then Elizabeth Strickland widow as aforesaid at the time said dower was laid off, to have and to hold said bargained premises with all and singular the rights,______, and appurtenances thereunto appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said James J. Vickers, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in fee simple, and the said Appling Worsham and Elizabeth Worsham the said bargained premises unto the said James J. Vickers, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against the said Appling Worsham and Elizabeth Worsham their heirs, executors and administrators and against all and every other persons or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents.

In witness whereof the said Appling Worsham and Elizabeth Worsham have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals and delivered these presents the day and year first above written.
