Lendlease is delivering the Melbourne Airport to Bulla Road section of the CityLink Tulla Widening project, on behalf of VicRoads.

We are writing to inform you that the pedestrian bridges at Earl Street and Vaughan Street, which are located to the north and south of English Street bridge near Essendon Fields, will need to be removed, lengthened, widened and then reconstructed at the same location. We need to remove and rebuild these pedestrian bridges to allow for the freeway to be widened underneath.

What we are doing

The Earl and Vaughan Street pedestrian bridges will be progressively removed from Friday,8 July to Sunday,17 July 2016, subject to weather. This will involve demolition of the bridges, removal of existing advertising signage, some vegetation removal and the relocation of overhead wires, signage and electrical equipment.

Once the pedestrian bridges have been removed, work on the bridges will predominantly occur during the day, Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 7am and 6pm, unless otherwise advised.Neighbouring properties may experience some noise during these hours.
