Have the children guess what’s in the wrapping box. / Read: “Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks”
Vocabulary- Birthday.
Make a list of things you need for a party. / HWOT Work in our journals.
Use the magnetic letters to make Thanksgiving words. / Discuss healthy food. Ask the children to name all the healthy Thanksgiving food they can eat. / Vocabulary- have the children write 1-10.with shaving cream / Talk about safety inside and outside of school. / Pretend we are at the farm picking up acorns.

Discuss things we celebrate. / HWOT Work in “My First School Book”
Have the children make some sweet potatoes out of playdough. / Explore apples and corn. How are fruit and vegetables are different? / Have the children make a graph to find out which holiday is liked best. / Have the children practice sharing a new toy with each other, and discuss the topics of respect and friendship. / The children will play color and shape bingo and Puzzles.

Talk about what you do? / HWOT Copy the word Thanksgiving and make Thanksgiving Handprint. / Let’s talk about Thanksgiving Holiday. / Use food coloring in the water to show children cranberry juice color. / Manners! Remember to say “please” and “thank you” when we are at the Thanksgiving table. / Dress up for Thanks giving party.
