Thank you so much for supporting us as a sports official at the Berkshire School Games on the 12th July 2016 at Berkshire College of Agriculture.
The Berkshire School Games celebrates the legacy of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and aims to inspire thousands of young people through sport. We are proud that is an event run for young people delivered by young people, so our involvement is paramount.
The event day will be long but we hope that all involved will find it exhilarating. We require all Young Officials to arrive 1 hour before the start of their event. Attached are the times for each of the sports taking part and a list of items each young official and the school/college should bring. Schools/colleges will be responsible for undertaking their normal off-site procedures for a school/college trip and will have duty of care for their team of young officials whilst at Bisham. This year once again we are asking Headteachers/Principals to sign of registration forms for their Young Officials as part of our safeguarding procedures and to ensure photographic consent is in place. Please find attached your registration to complete and bring on the day.
A Young Officials Manual will be sent out by end of June and will include registration details; parking; directions and other relevant information. Information on the Berkshire School Games is also available at www.getberkshireactive.org. This will include rules for the sports competitions, risk assessments and the welfare plan for the event.

· Sports Kit including sweatshirt and jogging bottoms/leggings including warm clothes if outside. You will be provided with an officials School Games T-shirt that must be worn on the day and visible so ensure you have layers to wear underneath. Please ensure you are smartly dressed.
· Packed lunch (if required)
· Drinks and snacks
· Water Bottle (this can be refilled on site)
· Suntan lotion
· Waterproofs
· Cap/hat
· Change of shoes if competition is outside
· Please note there are refreshments available to purchase on site
