Dear Spring Session Twirl-M's:

We have an important couple of weeks as we end our Spring Session. As a reminder...

1. PICTURE NIGHT & PARADE PRACTICE- Monday 5/23

Attached is the handout regarding the pictures. Pictures begin at 5:30 p.m. Be a few minutes early. We cannot retake pictures for missing students. What to wear, what to bring is listed.Print it out and follow it to a "T," please and thank you!

NOTE, for the Miss Majorette of Michigan pictures...if your daughter was called to the podium then she is a finalist. All Champions, Royalties, Winners, and Finalists MUST be in this picture. Bring your trophy NOT your medals.

All other details are listed within.

After pictures by about 6:30 p.m. we will have parade practice for about 30 minutes. Make sure you have practice clothes with you.

Team Nationals students (corps and mini team) will then head over to Dairy Queen for a team retreat. No team practice to follow. Parents, please pickup at 8 p.m. at WLCE.

WLN Majorettes will have a meeting following the Dairy Queen Retreat.

2.MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - RAIN OR SHINE - Monday, May 30

a. We are unit #22.

b. Attached is a map showing you the location of our lineup. It is different than in past years. We are at the corner of Nicolett and Witherall by St. Annes Church.

c. Be at the lineup area by 10:15 a.m. The parade starts promptly at 11 a.m. so we need to get organized and rehearse. Remember, "To be early is to be on time and to be on time is to be late."

d. Be dressed in...

- Corps and Mini Team - Purple jumper with black bootie shorts, hair in a slicked back bun with a black scrunchy around it, team crystal ab earrings, Capiezzio #1916 tights Caramel colored, any tan strut shoes

- Rec - EITHER Purple jumper with black bootie shorts OR black Twirl-M's shorts and purple t-shirt you got last week. All hair in a slicked back bun with a black scrunchy around it, crystal ab post earrings, Capiezzio #1916 tights Caramel colored, any tan shoes

e. Wear a jacket with your name on it and bring a water bottle with your name on it. We will take off the jacket just before step off.

f. Have on light makeup with lipstick.

g.Bring your baton, go to the bathroom right before you leave, and eat a good breakfast.

h. If your twirler gets tired or does not feel well, we have a vehicle that moves with us to carry our music. She/he will sit in that vehicle until rested.

i. Bring your twirler to us and then leave the lineup area. My suggestion is to sit around the area of Burger King. That is just past the judge's stand. Then, as you see us go by, move with us along the sidewalk to our disband area. That is the Vet Hospital next door to the WL Library/Police Station.

j. There we will take a photo, hand out water bottles and jackets, and disband in an orderly fashion. DO NOT take your child from the parade route or the disband area until I dismiss then. We want to be sure all are accounted for.

k. Likewise, DO NOT ask your child to meet you unless they are in high school. ALL others need to be picked up please and thank you! We don't want any misplaced children. There are a lot of people at the parade.

m.REMEMBER, DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE PARADE IS DONE TO COME PICKUP YOUR CHILD. There are over 80 units. I don't plan to sit and babysit while you watch the parade. So come as soon as you see us go by you to the Vet Hospital, pickup your child, and then go back and finish watching the parade as a family. Thank you for adhering to this policy.

Also attached is our summer camp schedule. The more your twirler twirls in the summer the better he/she will get faster. Our camps are open to all as follows:
