Dear Senior Scholarship Applicant:

The Murray Family Foundation will be awarding five scholarships forgraduating seniors looking to pursue music as a career. Students may have participated in band, choir, orchestra, mariachi, or any other musical ensemble during high school.

There are three parts to the scholarship process: the “Leadership Activities and Service” point sheet, the “Musical Achievements” point sheet, and your essay. The applications will be evaluated by a scholarship committee and the top five will receive a $500 scholarship.

The essay will be a separate page that you complete and turn in. (Approximately 500 words) It should be specifically written to the scholarship committee addressing the topic. Be sure to follow ALL instructions carefully. Complete ALL forms, including both point sheets. Theinformation from both point sheets is used in determining your scholarship score.
