We have now finalised venues and dates for the Level 2 qualifying events for the Lincolnshire School Games and the County Athlete Assessment Day. These events are for all children with disabilities or sensory impairments whether in mainstream or special education.

Boccia:

Primary (Y4, 5 & 6) - Morning session / Squad of 8, 6 players at any one time- max of 2 teams per school. ( mixed team) / Inclusive for all to compete*
Secondary (Y7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, & 13) Afternoon session. / Squad of 8, 6 players at any one time- max of 2 teams per school. ( mixed team) / Inclusive for all to compete*
New Age Kurling:

Inclusive Zone Wheelchair Basketball:

*The classifications for the above three events are inclusive for all to compete in. For schools that have not got any pupils with a physical, learning or sensory impairment, it is advocated schools enter pupils that are less able or who may not normally have the opportunity to take part in competitions.

School Games level 2 competitions for Inclusion Table Tennis and Inclusion Athletics will now be held as part of a County Athletes Assessment Day(CAAD). Wheelchair basketball assessment sessions will also runat the CAAD taking place on the 8th May at Grantham Mere’s Leisure centre open to the whole county. There will also be an opportunity to try Sitting Volleyball another Paralympic Sport with expert coaches on hand also doing talent identification. Pupils attending the CAAD must have a Physical, Sensory or Severe Learning Disability to be eligible this is in line with the Paralympics.

School Games level 2 competitions for Inclusion Swimming for primary pupils will take place on the 10th May at Yarborough Leisure Centre open to the whole county to participate in.

Qualification/ selection from the level 2 competitions (CAAD) will lead onto the Lincolnshire level 3 school games competition (County Finals), held at Yarborough Leisure Centre, Lincoln on Wednesday 27th June 2012
