Dear Rogers Primary School Community Member:
Progress is continuing on the new school building on Scott Avenue, and the project is on track to be completed and open for the start of the 2018-19 school year. As part of the future of the new school building, we invite you to attend a Town Hall Meeting for an update on the school construction project as well as an update on the transition plan for the opening of the building and merging two schools.
The Town Hall Meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, in the Shaler Area Elementary School auditorium, located at 700 Scott Avenue, across from the new school construction site. District administrators, school principals and representatives from HHSDR Architects/Engineers and Massaro Construction Management Services will be present at the meeting to answer any questions.
We have posted the information about kindergarten registration on the District web page. Shaler Area School District will begin registration during the week of March 5, 2018. I will be sending out information soon. If you or your neighbors have any specific questions about school registration or transfers to our school, please feel free to call me.
Please be advised that Shaler Area School District students will attend class on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, as aresult of classes being canceled on Friday, January 5, due to inclement weather. The make-up day is in accordance with the make-up days outlined in the 2017-18 school calendar.
Hey Students - Get ready to share your talents!
The Shaler Area All-District Fundraising Committee is once again sponsoring a school and community wide Talent Show - Shaler's Got Talent! This event will be held on Friday, February 9th at the SA Middle School.
Do you sing or dance, juggle or do magic? Have skills like martial arts or ball-handling tricks? Can you make people laugh?If you live in Shaler Township and have these or any other talents, we want you to create a three-minute act and audition!!
And... hey teachers, we'd love to see your fun talents too!!
Auditions will be held at the North Hills Shaler Library’s large Conference Room onWednesday January 10th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with call-backs on Tuesday, January 16th.
So put on your thinking caps and get your creative juices flowing!!We need you to make this show a success!!
