Dear Parents, Students, Guardians and Community Members,

Welcome to another exciting year at Ivy Academia (2015-2016). It is my goal to provide our students, parents, community members, faculty, and staff with an exciting and fun-filled academic year!

We have an outstanding faculty and staff that will provide you with an excellent opportunity to receive a quality education. I am very excited about the upcoming year and look forward to meeting with you and your children as the year unfolds. It is clear that the Ivy Community is vested in producing happy, healthy children. Our school must be a learning environment but, equally important, a caring environment in which children are accepted for their unique intelligences and gifts. Continuing this focus for our school, we (students, staff, parents, and community members) will be able to soar beyond expectations.

Our responsibility, as a school, is to provide each student with the opportunity to secure an appropriate education in a safe and harmonious environment. Your job as a student is to attend school each day in proper school uniform, be prepared to meet the challenges, and behave in a responsible manner. With this in mind, we’ve chosen entrepreneurial education as our focus and will continue the tradition of helping all children realize their academic goals and become productive members of the society.

Our Parent/Student Handbook contains important information concerning your responsibilities as a student and parent at Ivy Academia. In order to have a positive learning experience, both students and parents will need to fully understand our expectations. If at any time you are unclear about a procedure or policy, do not hesitate to contact me, or any staff member.

I am very proud of the educational progress that our students continue to make each year and remain confident that this school year will yield an even greater success.

Again, I look forward to working with each of you as we share ideas to sustain the provision of educational services from which children receive maximum benefit.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Lyons-Urbach
