Dear parents of Team 721 students,

We are finally planning a field trip to award the students for all their hard work during the past year. They chose to go to see Dr. Seuss’s Horton Hears a Who. We thought it a good choice because it fits in well with our character education program.

Here follows a synopsis: One day, Horton the elephant hears a cry for help coming from a speck of dust. Even though he can't see anyone on the speck, he decides to help it. As it turns out, the speck of dust is home to the Whos, who live in their city of Whoville. Horton agrees to help protect the Whos and their home, but this gives him nothing but torment from his neighbors, who refuse to believe that anything could survive on the speck. Still, Horton stands by the motto that, "After all, a person is a person, no matter how small.”

We will leave at 9:00 on Monday, March 31st and return at approximately 11:30. The cost of the trip is $15 and includes the movie, a snack pack, and of course the bus trip. We plan to be back in time for lunch at the school.

I give permission for my son/daughter …………………………………………… to go on a field trip to Cinemark and watch Dr. Seuss’s Horton Hears a Who and to travel by bus.
