Year 11 Prom, Friday 30th June 2017
I am pleased to announce that this year’s Prom for Year 11 will take place on Friday 30th June 2017 at the Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell.
Tickets are now on sale for £25; payment is to be made through the Finance Office, by cash or cheque, or online at www.scopay.com/forest. Tickets will be made available upon Book Return Day on 29th June. Tickets will only be issued if all books have been returned with the exception of the few who have exams on the days following.
There are likely to be similar events held around this time of year by other schools, so there is likely to be a demand for limousines, vehicles and suits, so these will need to be booked or ordered in advance.
The doors at the hotel will open at 6.30pm and our evening will end at 12.00am. In the past, parents and their guests have joined us for the arrival of our pupils, and we would like this tradition to continue. The hotel requests that guests parking for the arrival use the car park for the ice rink which is a short walk from the hotel. The ice rink have been made aware of our event and they will anticipate cars during the early part of the evening. Arrivals for the prom will take place at the rear of the hotel by the entrance to the Keller Bar and Apres Nightclub.
Proms in the past have been a fantastic celebration of the end of the GCSE exam season and for a chance for the final thank yous and goodbyes from the staff and pupils and I would encourage as many as possible to attend.
