Dear Parents/Carers,
One of the most exciting events of the Summer Term, Sports Day, is fast approaching! The children have been preparing during their PE and Outdoor Games lessons and we would like to invite you to come along and support the children with lots of enthusiasm and your loudest cheers! All children will take part and the dates and times for each year group are listed below:
Year 3, 4, 5 & 6: Monday 30th June 2014 – 1pm start
Year 1, 2 and Reception: Monday 7th July 2014 – 1pm start
The day will take place at London Fields Park. In the event of poor weather and cancellation you will be notified by text message at the earliest opportunity.
In anticipation of hot, sunny weather, please ensure that your child brings a water bottle and a sunhat for the day. If you wish your child to wear sunscreen then please ensure that this is applied before they come to school. You will need to send your child into school in their PE kit and with a packed lunch unless they receive free school meals, in which case lunch will be provided.
The children will enter and leave the park with their class and will stay with their class as they move around to the different events. You are very welcome to come and watch your child; however, the children must remain with their class at all times and will return to school after they have finished participating in Sports Day. To ensure the children’s safety it is imperative to remember that under no circumstances can they leave the park. They will be taken back to school where you will be able to collect your child at the end of the school day, on the playground, as normal.
