SAINTS DAYS!!

June 24- 28, 2013

HELP WANTED!!

Dear Parents and Students,

St. Vincent de Paul Church is again offering a unique opportunity for students of our parish, and there guests to enjoy called Saints Days Bible Week. Saints Days is June 24-28 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It takes a lot of help to make this program work…help from adults, young adults, high school students and middle school students.

WHAT IS SAINTS DAYS?

Saints Days is a week long summer Bible experience for students entering Kindergarten through 5th grades in the fall. The goal of this program is to give the children a Bible experience through stories from the Bible, music, crafts, service projects, games, snacks, etc.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

There are many opportunities for help prepare for Saints Days and during the Bible week. Dates for some of the work that needs to be done before Saints Days are not currently scheduled, but will be noted in the Church bulletin or call the Youth Ministry Center (324-9742) for the latest information.

Students currently in 5th through 12th grades can be Saints Crew Leaders. A Saints Crew Leader will lead a group of students to the different activities everyday. You don’t have to prepare anything; you just come each day and join in the fun. You must stay with your assigned group at all times!

A Saints Crew Leader is: A Saints Crew Leader isn’t”

* a friend and a helper * the boss or the teacher

* someone who offers kids choices *someone who makes all the decisions

* someone who asks questions * someone who gives all the answers

* someone who encourages kids * someone who yells at kids or puts them down

All Saints Crew Leaders must attend a training meeting June 18 at the Youth Minister Center from 7-8:30 p.m. If you cannot come on that date, please call Nerissa and make arrangements to come another time. We will need 25-30 leaders everyday. If you will be a Saints Crew Leader, please check the box on the attached Help Wanted List.
