Welcome Back

Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe but it is school time again!!! I am thrilled to have your child in my classroom this year. I have the belief that by working together we will make this a very successful school year. It is very important that you play an active role in your child’s education.
I gratefully welcome you and our students to the wonderful and exciting studies of learning a foreign language; especially Turkish. The goal of this course is to provide grounding in current usage and grammar, with an emphasis on oral communication. By utilizing materials like audio documents, workbooks, as well as the Smart Board, I expect each student to be able to introduce and express themselves daily in our class setting.

I encourage you to e-mail me at any time if you have a question regarding your child’s progress in school. I will do my part by keeping you informed by posting homework/classwork on the school database.
Furthermore, I am attaching a copy of my classroom rules and expectations. It is very important that both you and your child are fully informed regarding my standards of classroom behavior. If your child should not follow the rules I will notify you immediately. Also, I would appreciate if you would also communicate with me any problems your child is having; be it academic, social, or emotional.

I truly consider it an honor and privilege to be your child’s teacher this year and look forward to meeting with each of you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Altuntas
