On Friday 27th April, Winchester University will be holding the annual UCAS Convention. This is a chance for all year 12 students to attend and see all of the UK’s universities in one place. It will be the ideal opportunity for them to ask any questions they may have, see what the universities have to offer and take part in useful workshops; all of which will benefit when we start the UCAS process.
7:30 - Depart Melksham Oak
9:15 – Arrive at Winchester University
9:30-12:00 – Workshops and Convention
12:00-2:00 – Spend time exploring campus and surrounding areas
2:00-Leave Winchester University
4:00 - Return to Melksham Oak, dependent on traffic
The cost is£8.90 per student; this covers the visit and travel to and from the venue. Please bring a pack lunch and a drink.
To confirm that your son/daughter can attend this trip please complete the reply slip below and return to the Finance Office by Tuesday 1 December. Please note that this can only be done at the following times:8.30 - 8.40am, 10.15 - 10.35am, 1.05 - 1.35pm, 2.50 - 3.15pm. It is possible to pay by cash or cheque, the latter should be made payable to Academy Trust of Melksham. This assumes that you have returned the Annual Parental Consent Form which was sent out in August. If you have not done so please contact Mandy in the Finance Office on 01225 792755.
As I am sure you will understand there will be a lot of interest from students wishing to attend, so it will be on a first come, first served basis. I would appreciate it if you could complete the reply slip below confirming that your child is able to attend.
