Thank you for expressing the desire to serve as a member of the 2017 Northwest District Nominating Committee. This position comes with the tremendous responsibility of building the ballot for the 2017-2018 district officer team. Through a series of interview tactics, you must evaluate each applicant to pick the best possible candidates to serve the members of the Northwest District.

Please review the following process. If selected for the committee, I will contact you during the week of January 23rd:

1. Complete the attached application. Applications can also be found on the Northwest District FFA website at http://www.iowaffa.com/northwest.aspx. One paper copy should be postmarked and sent to the following address no later than January 13, 2017:

2. Interviews will be held on February 4, 2017, at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. If selected, I will ask you to arrive slightly early to the review process and will be required to stay throughout the completion of the ballot.

3. If selected, you will work diligently with fellow nominating committee members to assemble the 2017-2018 Northwest District FFA officer ballot. A variety of techniques will be utilized to evaluate the candidates.

Regardless of the outcome of the committee selection process, it is important to recall why you are expressing interest in this position: to serve the members of the Northwest District. As district-related events such as this come and go, it is essential that we continue to make a difference in our local chapters by continuing to developing our members’ potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success by upholding the National FFA vision.
