Dear Mrs. Jones,

Directions: Write a personal letter introducing yourself to me. Here are some “possible” ideas for you to include in your letter; you may, of course, add any other information you would like me to know about you.

The final draft must be typed and turned in no later than September 4th.

The letter should be Times New Roman or Arial, size 12, double spaced.

Please make sure it is around 1 page in length with lots of great details!

This assignment is worth 15 points. Points will be deducted for late work.

Here are some ideas of what to write about:

-Your name, age, and birthday

-Your family members: names and ages

-Your elementary school; your favorite teacher so far – and why?

-6th grade: your teacher; what you liked/ did not like about 6th grade

-New to the area/school?

-What you expect to do this yearand/or when you grow up?

-What did you do this summer?

-What do you like to do in your spare time; activities, sport

-Describe your best friend(s)

-What’s your special skill or talent? What are you most proud of?

-When you’re not at home, where do you like to hang out?

-Do you have a computer at home? What programs do you know how to use – for fun, for school?

-If you could spend the day with a celebrity…who would it be? What would you do?

-If I gave you $100, how would you spend it?
