Dear Ministry Partner,

Though PBDRM is still a young ministry we’ve been able to minister to people affected by typhoons, earthquakes, fires, wars, and now, for the first time, people affected by a volcanic eruption. Mt. Mayon in Albay decided that she was done resting (last activity was back in August 2014)and started erupting again, reaching alert level 4. As a result, approximately 40,000 people that live within 9k of Mt. Mayon had to evacuate, with multitudes overcrowding into public schools and other evacuation centers. With the lives of so many people being suddenly disrupted this often causes them to think about more important things that are often ignored,such as God, eternity, Heaven, Hell, and salvation. This is a great opportunity to share the gospel to the lost!

Partnering with PBRDM, Pastor Ulysses Fundano from Bicol Baptist Mission was able to share the gospel and relief items to 67 families in an evacuation center in Anislg, Daraga, Albay. Pastor Ulysses expressed great appreciation and said it was truly a great opportunity to reach a lot of people who wouldn’t usually be receptive. Praise God as many responded to the gospel and some are interested in attending services at this mission point! This is the heart of PBDRM, helping churches reach the lost within the vicinity of their ministries. Please pray for follow-up efforts to these folks as Pastor Ulysses and his people have a lot of new contacts in their area.
