Dear Midlothian High School JUNIOR Parents/Guardians:

On behalf of the Midlothian Independent School District, I am pleased to inform you that your student has the opportunity to participate in a one-day Bootcamp to help them prepare for the SAT and/or ACT tests. The SAT and ACT are important tests administered through College Board and ACT, Inc. as part of the college admissions process. The Bootcamps are administered through Midlothian ISD in partnership with The Princeton Review, a leading firm in test preparation and educational enrichment.

Your student can participate in one or both of the following Bootcamp types. Students are limited to one Bootcamp enrollment per test type for the year. The cost for this program is minimal: $35 for each 6-hour Bootcamp. In order to participate, please complete the enclosed registration form and submit it along with your $35 check, made payable to Midlothian ISD ($70 if attending both Bootcamp test types). Please include your Driver’s License number and Date of Birth on the check before returning it and the form to Mrs. Becky Oliver in the MHS Guidance Center. All fees are nonrefundable unless otherwise stated.

Space is limited to 25 students per session so please register early.

Reminder: You must register with College Board and ACT to take the actual SAT and ACT tests.

You can do so via the internet at and . Please note registration deadline dates for the actual SAT and ACT administrations.

Both Bootcamps will be held at Midlothian High School (rooms to be determined) from 10am-4pm, with a one-hour break for lunch. Your student can bring a lunch or go off site (only if held in the library). Students are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Any student who disrupts instruction will be asked to leave.

This is a great opportunity for your student and we ask for your support in fostering their education and your commitment to the success of this program. We are confident the partnership with The Princeton Review will provide students with a significant edge on this important step to academic achievement and their road to college.
