Dear Local League Presidents, MAL Chairs, and LWVID Board Members:
The League of Women Voters of Kootenai County is looking forward to being the Hostess League for the2012 Councilof the LWV of Idaho.
We will start with a social and light supper for delegates and guests on Friday evening, May 4 from 6 to 8 PM at Theresa Potts' home at 4103 Arrowhead Road in Coeur d'Alene.
The Council will meet May 5-6 at the Hayden Lake Country Club, 2362 East Bozanta Drive, Hayden Lake. Lunch and refreshments will be provided at the Club.
On Saturday evening at the Hayden Lake Country Club, League members will be joined by members of the community for a Cinco de Mayo buffet and open cash bar. The buffet will be followed by a panel presentation: Future of the Columbia River Treaty. Invited panelists are Jim Yost, Idaho Member Sovereign Review Team; Bill Booth, Northwest Power and Conservation Council Fish & Wildlife Committee; Kindy Gosal, Columbia Basin Trust Water and Environment Director; and Meghan Carter, University of Idaho Waters of the West JD/MS Student.
LWVKC members are willing to home host or we have a special room rate at the Hayden Holiday Inn Express.
We hope you will be able to send a delegation to enjoy our spring weather, a view of beautiful Hayden Lake, and dialogue with fellow League members.
