Dear Friends, Loved Ones and Prayer Partners, February, 2010
Greetings in the Name of Jesus, He is a wonderful Savior. This is a first report letter for a new decade. It seems like yesterday that people were hoarding food and fretting over airline flights as Y2K approached, hard to believe that was 10years ago. Life truly is “just a vapor,” is it not? I wonder how much progress we have made spiritually in 10 years? Jeremiah said “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved,” this is a sad but true statement for many. I pray that we will awaken to the fact that many of us are either declining, dying, or dead. This sounds harsh but it is reality. Jesus told the church at Sardis you have a good reputation but, “Thou have a name that thou livest and thou art dead.” David cried, “Wilt thou not revive us again that thy people may rejoice in Thee?”(Ps 85:6). Lord, please send a REVIVAL and let it begin with me.
We finished 2009 at Faith Baptist Church, Luling, LA for a Mission/Bible Revival. Brother Curtis Gibson has been Missionary Pastor there; Bro Tommy Hogan is taking the work which will be organized in the spring. After family time and holiday time we preached the New Year in at First Bible Baptist Church at Kennedale, faithful Pastor John Boyd. Jan 3-7 we were in Heritage Baptist Church at Lufkin, TX for a kickoff revival with Pastor Jim Housely the new pastor there. Pray for him and his wife Kim as they take this church to the next level of ministry. I preached two times for my pastor while we were home for the next two weeks. We then closed the month of January in Missions Revival at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Jacksonville, TX, Pastor Jack Thrift. This meeting was a blessing to me and the church as they continue the vision of a great missionary sending and supporting church. We have had a good start to what I pray will be a great year of serving the Savior.
January is gone, February and March are full, April is filling, but there are open dates in every other month. Pastor if you feel so led of the Lord, we will do all that we can to accommodate you. As we go to these churches we come under the burden for the people and pastors who are there. Our ministry is one of Faith. We trust the Lord to touch hearts of those He would have us to serve and open doors for service.
In closing I want to ask you to pray for a couple of friends. Evangelist Dennis Erwin underwent Brain-surgery in December. He is a faithful man of God with a Godly family who needs prayer during this recuperation process. Evangelist Tim Crumpton family, they lost their 15year old son, Matthew on his birthday while he was playing a basketball game. Of course we ask you to please “pray for us that the word of the Lord might have free course.” May God bless your ministry and thanks for taking time to read this report.
