Dear Fourth Grade Parent

Hi! My name is Ms. Lori Brown. I am looking forward to a great year with your student(s). For those of you returning—Welcome back! For those of you new to our school—Welcome!I am honored to be a part of your child’s learning experience. This is my 1st year at Hull Elementary. I spent the last 3 years at Ryan Elementary teaching 4th grade.

I have lived in Chandler for the last nine years. I am originally from Utah but have lived in many different states in this great nation. I have four children andtwo grandsons. My children are Danielle, Amanda, Makenzie and Hayden. My grandsons are Ryker and Brennon. We are a very active family and there is no time for boredom at our house. All of my children have attended school in the ChandlerUnifiedSchool district. We have had the most positive experiences in our education journey. My goal is to provide you with a very positive and rewarding learning experience this year.

I graduated in English/American Studies from UtahStateUniversity and completed my master’s degree in Education and Curriculum at ArizonaStateUniversity. I have previously worked at Santan K-8 and Hull Elementary. I became a part of the ChandlerUnifiedSchool district family over five years ago. Prior to working in education, I was an auditor and small business owner. In addition to working and family, I am extremely involved in the community by volunteering for various charities and schools.

Together, you and I will explore the many exciting adventures of fourth grade. You will learn about geography, early explorers, and government. You will become a math wiz at fractions and decimals, and perfect your cursive. We’ll also have fun with reading and writing. We hope to go on field trips and plan a very exciting visit to BizTown. I am looking forward to hearing your ideas about the subjects we will study.

With all this hard work, we will make sure our learning is FUN! As a class, we will create art projects, laugh a lot, earn rewards, play games, solve mysteries, and become well acquainted with many ways to do our best.
