Dear Families – here is a Packet of almost everything you need to know for our show!
Rehearsals have started for IN A NUTSHELL and it is going to be a wonderful concert! INTUIT Dance is having so much fun putting this holiday tradition together for you again this year and it is going to be a Nutty one, so be sure to invite your friends and relatives and purchase your tickets in advance!
Nutcracker performances are:
Dec. 16 at 3pm and 7pm – house opens a half hour prior to the performance
For the most part, Call for dancers is an hour before show time.
The Lund Auditorium, 7900 Division Street on the Dominican University Campus.
Tickets are $16
Sweet Deal: If you buy a group package of 10 or more tickets are only $13 each!
A reminder that group discount is not available online and must be processed over the phone (at708-488-5000) or in person during box office hours (Tuesday thruFriday12pm-6pm.)

Ballet One and Two/Dance For Children Bon-Bons
You dance in the 3PM show on Dec. 16
We will practice onstage right before the show: 2:15
You will sit in a designated area with your parents in your costume. Parents need tickets, your child will be on the comp list at the box office. Everyone needs a ticket to get into the theater.
We will bring you up when it is your turn to dance.
We will have a practice at the studio on Harrison Dec. 9 at 10:15. Miss Diane’s 9:30 ballet class will have class on Harrison that day.
Chinese Lion Dance: Nov. 14 at 237 Harrison Oak Park 5-6PM plus dress rehearsal

- Run- thru is at studio 1 Dec. 2 1PM ready to dance ( not walking thru the door)
No morning class this day
- Your Dress Rehearsal is SAT.Dec. 16 Morning Dec. 16 at 11 –12 Noon.
- Your Performance is DEC. 16 at 3PM.
- Call Time: 2PM – when your dancer needs to be backstage in dressing room
House Opens: 2:30PM – when you can get into the auditorium.
You need to provide: All Black leotard, tights and canvas black ballet shoes- girls
INTUIT provides pink tutu, colorful tutu, candle, hair accessory Hair: off face and pulled back – bun is preferred –Make –up: a bit of make-up is ok – blush, lipstick, eyebrows – just enough to show features
Parent Helpers: are needed backstage or selling flowers – please see Miss Diane if you are available!

Run thrus happen during regular classes on WED.
- Your Dress rehearsal is Wed, Dec. 13 3:30-6:30 at the Lund
- You dance in the 7PM show.
- Call Time: 6 PM when you need to be in your dressing room
House opens for seating: 6:30PM

You need to provide: All Black leotard, tights and canvas black ballet shoes- girls
INTUIT provides: red tutu, white tutu, and accessories, bon bon tutu candle
Hair: off face and pulled back – bun is preferred – Red or green bow can be worn anyway they want.
Make –up: a bit of make-up is ok – blush, lipstick, eyebrows – just enough to show features

Costumes: Intuit provides : Red leotard and black tutu, Reindeer antlers
You provide – All black tights and black canvas ballet shoes – Maddyn may have a different costume for Little Nutcracker Toy Soldier part

Saturday Choreo workshop I :
Your child dances in both shows 3PM and 7:30PM SNOW Pine Tree Forest and Russian – If they take Contemporary and /or Musical Theater and Demi pointe, they have additional pieces they are in.
WED. Dec. 13 Dress Rehearsal 3:30- 6:30 pm
Day of Show: Call 1PM for 3PM show – we will run Snow at 1:15PM
4:30-6PM go and get some food
6PM call for 7PM Show
8:30 Hand in our costumes
INTUIT will provide: tutu , skirts, leotards, earmuffs, Football jerseys
You will provide: PINK shoes and tights for Snow and - black cover-ups for Pine tree (t-shirt leggings you can put on really fast)
Frances: pink tights and shoes, Hair in bun Walter: Black tights or leggings, Black socks, Black ballet shoes, white shirt Diane provides.

Contemporary 2 and 3

Your child dances in both shows 3PM and 7:PM various lead parts and corps de ballet work including Party Crashers, Snow, Pine Tree Forest, Spanish – if they take multiple classes they also may dance in Sugar Plum Fairy, Dolls, Chinese, Candy Canes, BattleHair: off face and pulled back – bun is preferred –Make –up: a bit of make-up is ok – blush, lipstick, eyebrows – just enough to show features
