CRICKET!
A first at Camilla! For the first time in history of Camilla, we had a Cricket team representing our school at a tournament at Erin Mills P.S. Our team consisting of Nuh 8H, Haseeb 8F, Siddique 8G, Habib 8G, Derin 8B, Rishabh 7A, Hasan 7H, Muhammad 876, Harsh 7G, Osaid 7E came back with a bronze medal and enthusiasm for daily practice in hope of repeating their performance at an outdoor tournament later in the school year.
ACE Try – outs!
Our grade six students engaged in an active afternoon/night and did their best to meet the selection criteria. Now, all is in the hands of fortune! All students who met the selection criteria will be entered into a lottery draw and the fortunate ones will be added to the grade seven ACE program for next school year. Please do not despair if the name of your child is not drawn. All remaining students are placed on a waiting list and will be added to the program when and if space becomes available.
REPTILE SHOW
Grade 6 Reptile Show was a show indeed! A unique learning opportunity organized by the grade 6 team, provided students with real, hands on learning linked to biodiversity.
“A picture is worth a thousand words”
ECO TRIP
What a great success! Our grade 6 ECO leaders enjoyed three days in a natural setting of Albion Hills to learn about the environment and how to achieve sustainability. Our ECO leaders came back equipped with knowledge and skills to be shared with all of us to make sure that we do the best on behalf of our planet. (pictures to follow)
A YABBADABA DO ABOUT NOTHING MUCH!
It promises to be a spectacular night at Camilla again. Our Arts teachers with the support of many other teachers managed to engage more than 130 students in the performance. Grade 5 students from Munden Park and Clifton who attended a dress rehearsal this morning had only positive comments…..”the best show I have seen.”
Based on the fact that tickets for tonight’s show are sold out, we can anticipate a successful night showcasing our students and staff and what can be achieved through hard work and perseverance.
April 27th and 28th night performances were sold out and were “as good as it gets.” A very, very big thank you to staff and students for all that you did to make the play happen!
