OKI Printing Solutions continues to improve our products to ensure your customers’ satisfaction, and yourbottom-line success. With that in mind, we want to make you aware of the most recent upgradesto the ES3640 MFP.

Our engineers have made improvements to the ES3640 MFPscanner stand in order to ensure the smoothest possible movement of the scanner and optimal functionality of the device. Weare asking that your service managershelp to install the new parts on all ES3640 MFPs currently with your customers as well as those installed within your facility or inventory. Trained technicians are required to upgradethe stand, so pleaseensure that your customers do not attempt to perform the upgrade on their own.

Your service managers will be receiving detailed information in the next two weeks, which will includea complete overview of the stand upgrade process and reimbursement incentives for their assistance in upgrading the parts. The major points in the communications to your service manager are as follows:

  • To initiate this process, your service manager will be receiving a packet shortly which includes an instruction manualdetailing the upgrade process, as well as a fax back form to be read, signed, and faxed back to Oki Dataat (856)-222-5010. When we receive thesigned form, we will place an order to initiate the shipment of the correct number of both tool and parts kits – Please indicate on the fax back form the number of kits based on field, facility, and inventory quantities. These are scheduled to ship the week of February 12th. We will contact your dealership if any of these details change.PLEASE NOTE: An order will not be initiated for shipment until the process overview form is completed and received by Oki Data.
  • We ask that your service manager take the time to thoroughly review all training materials so they are properly prepared to perform the upgrades.
  • We ask that all stands be replaced within 60 days. We will reimburse the dealership to expedite the gas spring replacement effort in the following manner:
  • $300 per installation if the stands are upgraded within 60 days of receipt
  • $200 per installation if the stands are upgraded after 60 days of receipt
  • We ask that upgrades be performed on all units installed at a customer location, those installed at a dealer location and all unopened ES3640 MFPs in your inventory.
  • The service managers can expect to receive all the necessary replacements in a single shipment.
