POST: KITCHEN SUPERVISOR
REPORTING TO: ADMINISTATION OFFICER
ACCOUNTABLE TO: SERVICE MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE: This is a “hands on” position which will provide for the effective operation of the kitchen which produces meals for sale in the café, takeaway and outside catering. Supervising and training staff who have mental health problems, you will enable them to achieve more satisfying lifestyles to gain access to new opportunities in training, education and employment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To supervise, train and work alongside service users in the preparation of food for sale in the café takeaway and outside catering.

2. To be involved in the development and review of the menu and services.

3. To work in accordance with all current food hygiene and health and safety legislation.

4. To participate in the development and implementation of marketing and initiatives to expand the business and optimise revenue.

5. To ensure all services users are encourage to work to their full potential.

6. To carry out any other duties consistent with the broad remit of the post.
