Firework Display at Eastry Primary School, organised by Eastry Primary School Parent and Teacher Association, 6pm open, with fireworks starting at 7pm. Refreshments, a raffle, tombola and barbeque will be available. Advance tickets £3.50 for adults or £1.50 for children, available from the school or the Premier foodstore in Eastry, or on the gate £4 for adults or £2 for children. All Eastry Primary pupils and younger siblings will go free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Annual Firework Display at Deal & Betteshanger Rugby Club, Canada Road, on The Drill Field. Gates open at 6pm with display commencing at 7.45pm. Food, refreshments, novelties, music and a bar will be available, with The Tony Johnson Band playing in the club house after the display. A November Day - In forgotten boxes in an attic, a woman discovers the story of her grandfather, a survivor of the First World War, and his unexpected encounter with a stray dog who knew no boundaries. With evocative puppet characters, live music and an ever-changing set, Thingumajig Theatre presents a timeless fable on war and the miracle of friendship when all else seems lost. Thingumajig launches this revised version of the piece to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War One. The Astor Theatre, doors open 7pm, show starts 8pm.
