Introduction
Dallas Computer Services has been in the computer service industry for over 30 years, and has been performing its current services since 1989. DCS prides itself in being the leading private provider of on-line Texas Drivers License and Vehicle Registration information in the state. DCS is the pioneer of this service in the state of Texas and is the most experienced company in this industry in the state. DCS also takes pride in offering its customers easy to use and easy to learn system interfaces and one of the highest levels of customer service in the industry. DCS markets its products throughout the United States.
Description of Systems
DCS currently offers its services directly on-line via modem and/or the internet. Please call the contact person on this catalogue for access numbers if the choice of access is on-line via modem. The web browser product can be accessed at the following URL address: http:\\search.dcsinfosys.com.
There are two databases of information that is available. One is called the Texas System and one is the National System (aka: DNIS). It is important that the user is in the Texas System when inquiring on individuals in Texas. This will keep costs down significantly. Everything that is accessible via the Texas System is also in the National System, but the cost is higher. Any further explanation between the two systems can be given by Jerry Graves or Joy Stoffer. Please see the Miscellaneous section of this catalog for ways to contact these individuals.

The Name Search allows the user to inquire by last name, first name, or both names. The user may choose to narrow the search by entering an exact date of birth, range of year born, age range, middle initial (or name), city, state, and/or zip code.

Address Search
The Address Search allows the user to inquire by a physical or mailing address. The user may choose between Single, Current/Historical, or a Neighbor Address Search.

Drivers License Search
The Drivers License yields the same information as the Name Search. The only difference is searching by the drivers license number and not by a name. Any necessary explanations regarding this search can be found in the Name Search section.

Credit Header Search
There are several different ways to obtain credit header information via this system. The user may choose to search by a SSN or by an individual's name and address. TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian are the three credit bureaus offered for the search. The user may choose one, two or all three credit bureaus for the credit header search. Keep in mind that the information received from each credit bureau is in real time. Real time depicts that the information is directly from the credit bureau. Therefore, the information is updated and returned to the user as quickly as the credit bureau receives updates.
Each bureau returns certain types of information, but between the three the user can expect each piece of information listed below (when available):
-First, middle initial (or middle name), and last names
-Aliases (such as maiden names and/or married names)
-Up to three addresses
-Exact date of birth (or month and year)
-Telephone number
-Validation date--when that information was updated

Vehicle Search (Texas Only)
The Texas Vehicle Search allows the user to inquire upon a vehicle registered with the Texas Department of Transportation. Among these ways include: by vehicle owner's name, vehicle tag number, (VIN) Vehicle Identification Number, and the address at which the vehicle is registered.
The following is a list of information returned (when available):
-First, middle initial (or middle name), and last names; or a company name
-Address at which the vehicle is registered
-Prior owner of the vehicle
-Date of title and title number for the vehicle
-Current and prior tags registered to the vehicle
-Make, model and year of vehicle
-Lien holder
-Vehicle valuation (according to Black Book® values)
-Expiration date of registration on that particular vehicle

Real Property Search
The Property Searches may be performed on personal or commercial real property. Searches may be performed by name, site address, or mailing address. These searches may be performed on a county, state or national level. All information obtained from the real property database is derived from tax assessor information, sales information, or a combination of both types of information.
Tax Assessor Information-information relating to the tax assessment of the property. Includes such data such as assessed value, tax amount, use, exemptions, improvements, description of improvements, mailing address and site address.
Sales Information-information that relates to the sale and financing of the property. Includes such data as owner, legal description, and date of sale, seller, sale price, title company, lender and loan amount.
Please note that real property information is obtained on a county-by-county basis. The information obtained and the frequency of updates will vary by state and by county.

Telephone Number Search
The Telephone Number Search enables the user to search for a listing of all individuals listed at the address to which a telephone number is assigned.

Criminal Conviction Search (Texas Only)
The Texas Criminal Convictions Database contains information about statewide Texas criminal convictions and deferred felony adjudications. The database is comprised entirely from the Texas Department of Public Safety's Computerized Criminal History system. This database is intended to contain all criminal convictions and deferred felony adjudications recorded from all of the reporting courts in the state of Texas. Because all courts are not diligent in reporting conviction information, it is estimated that the database is anywhere from 80%-95% accurate. With this said, this is still the best available source for a STATEWIDE search for criminal history information. Searching an individual county may produce a more thorough and complete result.
Disclaimer: The information provided is obtained from the Texas Conviction Database and contains all CONVICTIONS and FELONY DEFERRED ADJUDICATIONS that are contained within the Computerized Criminal History system maintained by the Texas DPS. This file only contains information reported to the DPS by the various Texas reporting courts and may not be complete. This file does not contain arrest records. The database is replaced monthly from updated information received from the Texas DPS. The information is provided for tip and lead purposes only and DCS recommends the user independently verify any information obtained from this database prior to use of the data!
Convictions Record Content Records for convictions AFTER 1993 are more complete than records prior to 1993. Current law restricts some of this information for convictions prior to 1993. DCS provides our customers ALL of the information for each conviction record that is made available to us from the Texas DPS. If more information or detail pertaining to a particular conviction record is necessary DCS suggests that the user contact the Texas Department of Public Safety. Each conviction record may contain some or all of the following data elements, mandatory elements will always be present optional elements will be present when available.

Marriage/Divorce Search (Texas Only)
The Texas Marriage License and Divorce records are obtained from the Texas Department of Vital Statistics. These are statewide databases, not limited to select counties.
The following is a list of information returned (when available):
-Date and county where marriage took place
-Date and county where divorce was granted
-Ages of individuals at the time of the marriage and/or divorce
-Number of children by the two individuals at the time of the divorce

Social Security Administration Death Index
The Death Master File contains approximately 50 million records of deceased individuals dating back to 1937. Close to 98% of the file contains individuals who died after 1962. The death master file contains only descendents whose deaths were reported to the SSA. While a majority of those individuals who die are contained on the file, it is not a complete file of all deaths that occur in the United States. DCS has been able to match last known address with approximately 30% of the death records. Most of these addresses will be associated with individuals who have died more recently (1970's or later).
