JOB SUMMARY

Drives minibus, van, or lightweight truck to transport clients, children, materials, company property, trainees, or company personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and manifests the Mission and Philosophy of DCSSA.
  • Provide timely pick-up and delivery of children and associates according to daily schedule.
  • Maintain vehicle mileage record and client log.
  • Maintains records for maintenance of agency vehicles.
  • Notify proper authority to ensure and provide preventative maintenance on vehicles.
  • Adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations.
  • Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
  • Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
  • Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
  • Keeps records of trips and behavior of passengers.
  • Adhere to TDFPS standards on transporting children.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Valid Commercial Drivers’ License in the State of Texas.
  • Posses a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read road maps and follow instructions.
