Thank you

Thank you to Rev Brian, David Binions, the co-op, Ian Meredith, Victoria Spencer & Llyod Williams for their help in clearing the yard of snow to prepare for the re-opening of school. Also I received lots of texts of people offering their help so that is really appreciated. It was a community effort to get it all done – so a big thank you.

Healthy Eating Policy

We are delighted to release the new and updated healthy eating policy. There have been a number of new additions after consultation with the student council and the parents association. We will have a special assembly on Friday to discuss the new policy and the changes for the children. Please read the policy and keep it to hand for referral ie put it on your fridge! If you have any questions relating to the new policy please talk to Antoinette. The revised policy was ratified by the Board yesterday.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Thank you to those who returned their slip to let us know if their children would like to walk in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Rathdrum. Unfortunately a number of children are already committed to other groups for the parade we have decided that we don’t have enough children for the parade. Hopefully next year we may try again!

Arklow Music Festival

Sadly due to the adverse weather the Arklow Music Festival had to be cancelled.

The children had rehearsed and put so much work into their poems and songs. We hope to perform them for the school and parents before the Easter break.

Swimming

As we lost one week of our swimming last Thursday, the pool have kindly organised with us to continue on for one extra week therefore our last week of swimming will take place on Thursday 22nd March, so the children will still have their 8 week programme completed.

The Infants to 2nd class will have their last class of tennis today with David and this will complete their 4 week programme - will we be in touch soon to inform you of their second activity and to when it will start.
