JOB TITLE: Graduate Management Trainee - Operations
BAND: 5

REPORTS TO: Nominated Mentor & Local Manager
LOCATION: Various (GB & NI)
2. JOB PURPOSE
An excellent developmental role for an ambitious graduate to gain a range of experience, knowledge and skills in Moy Park, through a series of clearly defined roles specifically focused within the Operations function. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to extend their skill set across the full scope of Operations over a 2 year period covering both the Agri-Fresh and Convenience divisions. There will be opportunities to have responsibility for the day to day running of departments with a clearly defined set of goals and objectives. Involvement in Continuous Improvement, logistics and Quality projects will also give the successful candidate exposure to all aspects impacting Operations.
This is very much a hands on role with specific deliverables throughout the training period, offering responsibility, accountability and challenge as well as career development.

4. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
The Development programme will include:
·  Build a working knowledge of the function area.
·  Specific role(s) and training in the associated job specific skills.
·  Completion of nominated projects, 1 per placement.
·  Assist in the coordination of external customer visits and internal audits.
·  Operational Training e.g. Advanced Food Hygiene, Welfare Training (primary sites) etc.
·  Assist in delivering improved production efficiencies namely output, quality, yield, labour utilisation, packaging and utilities.
·  Assist in evaluation, utilisation and deployment of a range of continuous improvement and lean techniques.
·  Work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within the area.
5. MEASURABLE OUTPUTS
These will be specific to the placement roles; they will include one fully completed, presented project per assignment.

6. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential / Desirable
·  Degree in any discipline.
·  Communication and interpersonal skills through cross-functional teams and departments.

·  Team worker.
·  Customer focussed approach.
·  Problem solving and decision making skills.
·  Willing and flexible to travel or relocate to any Moy Park site (GB or NI). / ·  Completion of an industrial placement.
·  Practical experience in a food manufacturing environment.
·  Full clean driving licence & access to a car.
