Darebin City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community, industry and stakeholder representatives with knowledge of and commitment to public libraries. We are looking for people who want to make a positive and constructive contribution to the implementation of the Darebin Libraries Strategy 2014-19 by becoming a member of the Darebin Libraries Strategy Implementation (DLSI) Reference Group.

We encourage applications from those who can represent and engage with the diverse sectors of the Darebin community in terms of gender, age, sexuality, cultural and linguistic background, employment status, education, income levels and industry.

The objectives of the DLSI Reference Group are to:

  • Provide advice, feedback, support and guidance to Council on the delivery of actions outlined in the Darebin Libraries Strategy 2014–19
  • Provide an avenue of consultation and communication regarding the implementation and outcomes of the Strategy
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation and outcomes of the Strategy

There are 8 positions available and appointments will be for a period of 2 years. The DLSI Reference Group will meet 4 times per year with members required to attend a minimum of 2 meetings per year. Meetings will be held at a Darebin Libraries branch or other Council facility if required.
