Homeschool Dance Code of Conduct

By purchasing tickets to the homeschool dance, students, alumni and guests agree to comply with this code of conduct:

1.  This is a formal event. Gentlemen should wear suits, dress trousers, dress shirts and ties. Tuxedos are encouraged but not required. Ladies should wear evening dresses that meet a standard of decency. Please, no plunging necklines or bare midriffs. Short dresses and slits must be longer than your fingertips when your arms are down. If an attendee is turned away at the door because of dress code issues, there will be no refunds provided. Attendees who return home to make modifications to their attire may be allowed to enter if their changes bring them into compliance with the Code of Conduct.

2.  This is a chaperoned event. Please respect and obey all those in authority, which includes all adult supervisors.

3.  Behave maturely, or you will be required to leave without a refund.

4.  Please respect the facility and its rules. You are not allowed to leave the building and outdoor area. Teens and parents will be responsible to make restitution for any damage caused.

5.  All attendees must present their ticket at check-in. No leaving and re-entering the facility. If you need to get something from your car, a chaperone must accompany you.

6.  Inappropriate dancing will not be permitted – this includes “grinding” and “close” dancing. You must keep a respectable distance apart. No hanging on each other. Chaperones will be monitoring this and students who continue dancing inappropriately may be asked to leave the dance.

7.  No smoking, alcohol, or drugs allowed on the property.

8.  We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject without refund anyone not observing this Code of Conduct.

Parents:

If you are the parent of a young lady or gentleman attending the dance, it is your responsibility

to make sure they are dressed appropriately. This is a formal event. Gentlemen should wear

suits, or dress trousers, dress shirts and ties. Jeans are not allowed. Tuxedoes are encouraged but not required.

Young ladies should wear dresses that are modest and appropriate. Please, no plunging necklines or bare midriffs. No body-hugging “tube” dresses. Short dresses and slits must be longer than her fingertips when her arms are held straight at her sides.

Students must comply with this Code of Conduct. Parents are responsible for their son’s and daughter’s attire and must understand that if their student is turned away at the door because of dress code issues, there are no refunds provided. Students who return home to make modifications to their attire may be allowed to re-enter if their changes bring them into compliance with the Code of Conduct.

There will be students attending from many points of view in regard to dating or courtship.

This is not an event to encourage dating – most students have attended in the past without

dates.

Though there will be sufficient adult chaperones, teens will be responsible for their

own actions. Parents who agree to allow their teen to attend the dance do so with the understanding that their teen is responsible and mature enough to act respectfully. Teens and their parents will be responsible to make restitution for any damages caused and may result in future dance privileges being revoked.

In the event of accident or injury, by allowing your teen to attend this event, parents agree to

hold harmless the dance coordinators and the operator of any vehicle (if necessary) providing

transportation to and from the dance. The dance time schedule will be honored, and parents can arrive to pick up their children at 10:45 to see the surprise ending at 11 pm. The dance coordinators will not supervise and are not responsible for the coming and going of teens that drive themselves to the event.

By purchasing a dance ticket, attendees agree to comply with the Code of Conduct.
