Daily Objectives: Students will show understanding of 10 vocabulary words; students will continue to present poems to peers; students will demonstrate ability to use verbs correctly.

During/Explain: Begin viewing My Fair Lady (viewing guide)
After/Evaluate: Verb practice in wkbk

Daily Objectives: Students will continue working with lesson 6 using “Word Wall” and exercises from handouts; students will continue to understand mythology;students will be introduced to “Pygmalion” in mythology; students will continue reviewing subject/verb agreement.

Before/Engage: Continue working on lesson 6 words with exercises & use “Word Wall.”
During/Explain: Discuss how speech affects people’s impression of us (utube) introduce “Pygmalion” in mythology/discuss makeovers in modern society. (study guide, chunking)
After/Evaluate: Review work with verb usage.
Thursday (9/8)
COS: 38abc continued; 3 continued; 39-apply drama.to memory and be able to use in context on test; students will discover major themes in modern drama.
Daily Objectives: Students will continue working with voc 6 words; students will understand use of elements of drama while viewing My Fair Lady; students will demonstrate understanding of verb usage as we review.
