1 Timothy 4:12

The Multi-Generational Church

Community Group Study Questions05.28.17

Overview: The apostle Paul wrote a letter to a young man who was in need of advice on how to lead and invest in others in a church. Actually, three of them; 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus. They are commonly called “the Pastoral Letters,” and they are written to those that shepherd a flock. It might be easy to write these letters off if you are not in full time vocational ministry, but when it comes right down to it, we all are called by God to shepherd a flock. We all have a circle of people that we influence. And make no mistake, we do influence those around us. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse, but influence we do.

Now take our church. We are truly a multi-generational church. How are you influencing the next generation here at Desert View? Are you influencing them to “do church” the way you did it growing up, or are you influencing them to fall in love with God and let Him transform their lives?
