Competition Experience

Distinctive Exterior Identity, Laurentian Bank -2005, Canada

Given the precarious financial context of shifting spending habits, the request to save money from the banking community is quite challenging and radical to expect from the client. We have developed an exterior design for Laurentian Bank to convey this radical message to save under this precarious context, while aiming to preserve traditional ideas that will enable stability for the future

L.A. Hub International Design Exhibition -2003, U.S.A.

The design team submitted two different proposals. Daisuke and Kurt Handlbauer concentrated on the symbolic meaning and purpose of the city center. Their designs are identified the interchangeable use and substitution of Black and White as a key conceptual construct. Both designs were submitted in the competition.

Future Vision of “Leisure” Concept Competition -2002, Austria

Daisuke in partnership with Kurt Handlbauer and Sheida, joined to test the limit and understanding of leisure in contemporary life. The key concept was to change the daily activities and the daily activity spaces into Leisure itself. Since these activities and spaces are often strict, tight and busy, leisure can be threaded as fragments of time and space to open other aspects of life.

Field Pachinko International Competition -2002, Japan
